No. Our hearing test and initial consultation are free. Taking the test does not mean you have to buy a device. We review the result together, explain your options if needed, and the decision is yours.

SGK's contribution depends on your age, your social security status, your medical report, and the SGK rules in force when you apply. Because of that, there's no single figure that applies to everyone. You can see an estimate with our calculator, and get an exact figure by bringing your documents to a branch. Note: SGK coverage applies to Turkish social security holders; if you don't have Turkish social security, you pay directly.

An appointment isn't required — you can come by whenever suits you. If you'd rather not wait, call ahead and we'll suggest a quieter time. For a child's assessment or a longer procedure, booking ahead makes things easier.

A basic hearing assessment takes about 20-30 minutes for most people. It can take longer depending on the tests needed and your responses. The procedure isn't painful. As soon as it's done, we go over the result together.

It depends on the model you choose and the shape of your ear. There are very small models that sit inside the ear canal, and slim ones that sit behind the ear. But the smallest device isn't always right for every ear or every type of hearing loss. We choose based on your hearing needs and ease of use, not appearance alone.

It varies from person to person. Some users are comfortable within days; others need a few weeks to adjust. Background sounds you haven't heard in a while can feel too loud at first. At follow-up visits we adjust the settings gradually until listening feels comfortable and clear.
