Privacy Notice
We explain in plain language how we process your personal data.
This page is a translation provided for information only. The legally binding version of this privacy notice is the Turkish original at dorukisitme.com/gizlilik. If there is any difference between the two, the Turkish text governs.
1. Data Controller
This notice has been prepared by Doruk İşitme Cihazları ("Doruk İşitme") under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK").
This notice is still being finalised. Our legal counsel's review is ongoing; the company's full registered name and address, the legal grounds for processing, the terms of the cross-border transfer for both measurement and hosting, the retention period in Google's systems, and the request procedure will be added to this notice once finalised. The technical information below has been measured and is accurate.
2. What Data Do We Collect?
When you contact us by phone or WhatsApp, the full name, phone number, preferred branch and information in your message you share is processed. No form data is otherwise collected through our website; the hearing self-check on the site runs entirely in your browser and none of your answers are sent to us or recorded.
3. Cookies and Visit Statistics
A preference banner appears at the bottom of the screen the first time you visit the site. No measurement cookie is set in your browser before you decide, or if you reject all of them.
3.1 You choose each purpose separately
The banner has "Reject all", "Accept all" and "Manage preferences" options. When you choose "Manage preferences", you can turn two purposes on or off separately:
| Purpose | What it does | Permission given to Google |
|---|---|---|
| Visit statistics | Measures, in aggregate, which pages are viewed | analytics_storage |
| Ad measurement | If you arrived by clicking one of our ads, links the visit to that ad | ad_storage, ad_user_data |
There's also one item that can't be turned off: essential technologies. These are small records kept in your browser only to remember your preferences: your cookie choice here (doruk-cerez), your motion/animation preference (doruk-hareket), and two records kept so that banners you've dismissed don't reopen (doruk-duyuru-3d, dvSeritKapatildi). All four stay only on your device; they don't measure anything, don't create an identity, and aren't sent to a third party.
3.2 Cookies set if you accept visit statistics
| Cookie | What it's for | Maximum duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells visitors apart from each other | 400 days |
_ga_LBENWLHZP7 | Keeps session information | 400 days |
These two cookies are set for the dorukisitme.com domain and are used by Google Analytics . Google Analytics records which pages are viewed, which country and city the visit came from, the type of device and browser used, and whether the phone/WhatsApp links on the site were clicked. This data is processed for aggregate statistical purposes ; it isn't linked to your name, phone number or hearing status.
The duration above is the maximum lifetime of the cookie in your browser; it can be shorter depending on your browser's policies. The retention period of data in our Google account is a separate matter and isn't the same as this (see section 6).
3.3 Ad measurement
For this purpose, no separate cookie is currently being set, because the site doesn't yet carry a Google Ads tag. An additional cookie may appear once Google Ads goes live; this notice and the table above will be updated at that point.
When you give permission, the relevant measurement data is shared with Google ; see section 5.
We don't do personalised ad targeting or remarketing. Google's permission for this purpose (ad_personalization) is never turned on, under any circumstance.
3.4 If you accept none of them
No request is sent to Google for measurement purposes. The measurement tool itself isn't even downloaded to your browser; no cookie is set and no identity that recognises you is created.
There's one exception, and we state it plainly: our contact page and our branch pages have an embedded Google Maps window showing the location. This window loads regardless of your preference here; while the map loads, your IP address reaches Google. The map isn't a measurement tool, doesn't set a cookie and doesn't recognise you; it only shows the branch's location. If you'd rather not load the map at all, you don't have to visit those pages — every branch's address and directions link is written on the page without the map too.
This is the Basic implementation of Google's "Consent Mode". The measurement tool only loads once you accept a purpose. The site works exactly the same whether or not you accept anything.
Every sentence in this section data sent to Google is about. Separately from this, we also run a visit counter on our own server that doesn't recognise you ; what it is, we've explained in full in 3.6.
3.6 A visit counter that runs independently of your consent
Whatever your decision, on our own server a simple visit counter runs. We're telling you this plainly, because the sections above only cover data going to Google.
What it counts: which page was viewed; which domain you came from (only the domain, not the full address); which country your connection came from; whether you're using mobile or desktop; and Search, WhatsApp and Get Directions whether certain buttons were clicked.
If you arrived by clicking one of our ads, this is counted as a category, like "came from a Google ad" or a "came from a Meta ad" or similar. The click identifiers added to ad URLs ( gclidon Google, fbclid) on Instagram and Facebook) are not read, sent or stored; we only check whether such an identifier is present.
What it doesn't do: it doesn't set a cookie or any other record in your browser. It doesn't give you an identity and doesn't fingerprint you. Your IP address isn't recorded anywhere. Your full browser information isn't stored — it's only sorted into "mobile" or "desktop". The part of the address after the question mark is discarded. Unique visitor counts aren't measured; the daily hashing method typically used for that isn't even set up.
Every row kept in the database is a count — for example "29 August, /sgk page, 14 views". No row can be traced back to a person; that's why it isn't tied to your consent, and it runs even if you reject your preferences.
The counter runs on the same infrastructure (Cloudflare) that serves the site, and the database is in Western Europe. This is within the hosting transfer described in section 5; it doesn't add a new recipient.
3.5 Changing your decision
Your decision is stored only in your own browser. If you want to change it, all you need to do is click the Your cookie choice link at the bottom of every page; the preference panel opens with your current choices.
When you withdraw permission for a purpose, the cookies for that purpose are deleted from your browser. However, this only takes effect going forward: data already sent to Google isn't retroactively deleted by this action. You can exercise your rights over earlier data separately, through the request procedure in section 7.
If the measurement purposes change, your earlier decision is treated as invalid and you're asked again.
The site does not collect hearing test answers, health data or contact-form data. The self-check tool on the page runs entirely in your browser, and your answers aren't sent anywhere.
4. Why Do We Process Your Data?
The site has two separate, independent processing activities :
| Activity | Which data | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Contact and appointments | Full name, phone number, branch preference and message content shared over phone or WhatsApp | Creating your appointment, contacting you, and providing the service you requested. Not used for marketing purposes. |
| Web measurement | Page views, device and browser type, country/city, clicks on phone and WhatsApp links | Measuring, in aggregate, how the site is used and — if you give permission — assessing the effect of our ads |
Web measurement data isn't linked to your name, phone number or hearing status.
5. Is Your Data Shared?
Your contact and appointment data isn't shared with third parties; it can only be transferred to authorised institutions where legally required (for example, notifications needed for your SGK procedures are made with your request and knowledge).
Web measurement data is shared with Google for the measurement to be possible. This sharing follows your preferences in section 3; if you accept no purpose, no measurement cookie is set. Separately from this, when the embedded Google Maps window on our contact and branch pages loads, your IP address reaches Googleyour IP address reaches Google there too; this is independent of your preference in section 3, and the map doesn't measure anything, it only shows the branch's location. Google's servers are located abroad.
The infrastructure that serves the site is also located abroad. Our site Cloudflare is served through Cloudflare, and pages are delivered from the edge server closest to you. During this delivery, your IP address, the address of the page you opened, and your browser information reach the infrastructure provider. This happens whether or not you accept measurement — it's a technical transmission a website needs to function, and it's separate from measurement.
6. How Long Is Your Data Kept?
The retention period varies by data type; there are three separate layers and they shouldn't be confused with one another:
| Where | How long |
|---|---|
| Contact and appointment data | For as long as the purpose of contact requires and for the limitation periods set by relevant legislation; deleted or anonymised at the end |
| The cookie in your browser | Maximum 400 days (see 3.2). You can delete it at any time from your browser settings |
| Measurement data in our Google account | Subject to the retention setting in our Google Analytics account |
7. Your Rights Under KVKK
Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your data is being processed, and if it is, to request information about it, and if it's been processed incorrectly, to request its correction, and if the reasons for processing no longer apply, to request its deletion or destruction .
For your requests: 0312 212 00 63 or in writing at dorukk.isitme@gmail.com you can reach us. Your request will be answered within 30 days at the latest.
