SGK contribution amounts
Amounts are per ear and are net figures after the co-payment has been deducted. These SGK amounts apply to holders of Turkish social security; if that doesn't apply to you, you pay directly and we'll quote you a clear price. Updated: January 2026. SGK amounts can change during the year; call us for the exact figure.
How much is contributed for you?
Answer three questions to see your current contribution amount right away.
Amounts are based on January 2026 SUT (Health Implementation Communiqué) data and can change during the year. The exact amount is determined by your report and the model you choose; at your free test we'll work it out together. We've written about what determines the device's own price on our hearing aid prices page.

Common questions
People entitled to SGK health benefits who meet the current medical criteria can benefit from this support. Being insured alone isn't enough; you need an appropriate report, prescription and audiological findings from an authorised health institution. Age and whether the fitting is for one or both ears can also change the document requirements. This applies to holders of Turkish social security (SGK); if you're not covered by it, you pay directly.
The ENT assessment, the necessary audiological tests, the health board report and the prescription for a hearing aid are issued by an authorised health provider. Which hospital and which board is authorised can depend on your age and the type of device needed. If you call us before going to the hospital, we'll check the current document list with you. Our free pre-assessment at the centre doesn't replace the official report.
Once your SGK eligibility is confirmed and the device is supplied by an affiliated centre, the amount SGK covers is paid directly to the centre. So you don't need to pay the full price and then claim it back from SGK. Any remaining price difference or co-payment is explained to you before delivery.
There's no single decibel threshold that applies to everyone. Age, the test method, whether the device is prescribed for one or both ears, and whether the loss is permanent all affect the assessment. So we don't state definite eligibility from a single number on an audiogram alone. The official decision comes from the authorised hospital's report; we check your documents against current SGK rules.
In most cases SGK covers a set contribution amount, and if the device costs more than that, the remaining difference is the patient's. Because amounts and co-payments can change, we use the current figure as of your application date. We explain the net amount that falls to you before you choose a device.
Rechargeable devices don't use disposable batteries, so disposable-battery support doesn't apply to them. For battery-powered devices, support is given under current SGK conditions with an appropriate report and prescription. If you have trouble changing small batteries, be sure to mention it when choosing a device. For battery sizes and life, see our hearing aid batteries page.
A hearing aid doesn't remove hearing loss; it adjusts sound to your loss to make speech and surrounding sounds more accessible. The benefit you get depends on the type of loss, your ability to distinguish speech, whether the device is correctly chosen and verified, and regular use. We explain a realistic expectation based on your test results, and let you try the device where possible.
Of course. We show you step by step how to put the device in, take it out, charge or replace the battery, and clean it. We don't expect you to remember everything the first time; we go over it again as needed. If your dexterity or eyesight is limited, we can choose easier-to-use models and accessories. You're welcome to bring a relative along.
Once the renewal period SGK sets for the device has passed, a new assessment can be made with a fresh report and prescription. In some special cases, extra documents may be needed to renew before the period is up. We first check your MEDULA record and your current device; sometimes the issue can be solved with maintenance, a new mould or an adjustment, without needing a new device.
